Former Pacer Umar Gul Appointed as New Bowling Coach of Pakistan Team:

The Pakistan Cricket Team will be touring UAE to face Afghanistan for a 3 match T20I series beginning from 25th March 2023. For this particular series, a new management staff was announced by the Chairman PCB himself.

Former pace bowler, Umar Gul was named as the bowling coach for this series. Gul will be along with Mohammad Yousuf and Abdul Rehman in the coaching staff for this series. In his international career, Umar Gul picked 427 wickets across all the formats.

Umar Gul is also a former No.1 ranked T20I bowler. T20I format was indeed his specialty. Gul in his playing days was a yorker specialist, a delivery which is indeed very useful in the T20I format.
In his coaching career, Umar Gul has served as the bowling coach of Afghanistan national team. He has a good know-how of the Afghan Unit and he can help Pakistan now in this series.

Moreover, he has performing the bowling coach roles in multiple leagues, including the recent most PSL 8, where he was the bowling coach of Quetta Gladiators.
