Pakistani seamer Mohammad Abbas has re-joined Hampshire for his second successive stint. Abbas will be the overseas player of Hampshire in the County Championship 2022. In last year’s County Championship, Mohammad Abbas delivered stellar performances and hence he was offered a deal this year too.

With 41 wickets at an average of 16 and 3 five-wicket hauls last year, Abbas made sure that he delivers his best for Hampshire in the County Championship. He also took a 6-wicket haul last year.

Mohammad Abbas expressed his happiness saying that he is delighted to be with Hampshire once again. He also stated that he hopes to contribute once again with the ball.

The deal was closed out by Team ICA and ICA Chairman, Moghees Sheikh also expressed his delight over Abbas’ selection in the County Championship. Earlier, Team ICA also closed out the deal between Naseem Shah and Gloucestershire for County Championship as well as Vitality Blast.
